BIOGRAPHY:

Samuela Konusi Taukave also known as Skillz, has been with RakoPasefika for the past 8 years as one of the lead musicians, dancer, visual artist and Slam poet stars Skillz was one of the key artists and Alongside his co artists recently scooped 4 FPRA awards for International Recognition, Song of the Year, English Song of the Year and New Artist of the Year. He was first introduced to the arts industry through hip hop and street dancing when he was still in secondary level education at the Marist Brothers High.

After completing form seven, he enrolled at the University of the South Pacific, but then, realizing his love for arts and music, he started working full time with Rako Pasefika after the first semester. With Rako Pasefika, he has toured internationally to some of the worlds premiere festivals and venues such as the BluesFest, WoodFord Festival,Dreaming Festival and the Homeground Festival at the Sydney Opera House. Skillz and the Rako team recently were in Hawaii, and Guam where they represented Fiji at the F

estival of Pacific Arts, San Francisco for Family Graduation at the Marriot Hotel,Santa Rosa for Rotuma Day Celebrations and Tonga for the Dateline Transam 10year anniversary with members of the

Royal Family as Chief guest. Skillz passion for the arts is something he communicates and encourages with his kids classes and his mentorship of emerging dancers and musicians.
