Jared Vilsoni is a 22-year-old music technology student living in Wellington. Music has always been a significant passion for him, serving as a way to express emotions that he couldn't put into words. During high school, Jared worked hard to excel in music, winning the school’s music trophy three years in a row. He also had the opportunity to lead the school band during graduation, a memorable experience. In addition to leading the band, Jared played classical music in the chamber of music and performed at events such as NZRF’s Labour Weekend and Island Night. Most of his other performances occurred during his time at Whitireia Weltec in 2022, where he played a range of genres, from hard rock to classic R&B. After gaining valuable insights into the industry and performing at Whitireia, Jared transitioned to Massey University’s music technology program, where he is now in his second year, focusing on his career goals.
