Iane Atalifo

Iane Tavo, from Else’e, Malha’a, and Hapmafau, Itu’tiu in Rotuma, is a renowned performing artist, choreographer, and musician with over 13 years of international touring experience throughout the Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, and the US.

He began dancing in 2007 and furthered his training at the New Zealand School of Dance in Wellington before graduating with a Diploma in Dance from the Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts in Brisbane. Currently the Associate Artistic Director at Rako Pasefika, Iane has performed at prestigious events such as the Opening Ceremony of the 2018 Commonwealth Games, the Edinburgh Tattoo Sydney 2019 for Our Oceans People, and the ANOC Awards in Washington DC.

His career also includes performances at the Sydney Opera House, BluesFest, and the Dreaming Festival. For this project, Iane will serve as Lead Choreographer, while leading the development of digital resources with Tristan and supporting the Rako team in delivering all components.
